AudioFiction
I mostly listen to horror/thriller series, so I'm looking for some lighter shows for before bed (working through *Batman: The Audio Adventures* right now). I'd prefer dramatized/full cast shows that don't get too complicated, with medium- to short-length episodes. Any suggestions? Thanks! ETA: Open to any genre.
I started this magazine to test of the capabilities of /kbin, and to gauge the general interest amongst citizens of the Fediverse to discuss audio fiction. While the jury is still out on the latter, the former was a rousing success. So much that I've spun up a dedicated /kbin instance exclusively for Audio Fiction topics. I read in [@Podnews](https://kbin.social/search?q=Podnews@social.podnews.net) about Bradley Cooper's [movie production company—Lea Pictures—teaming up with iHeart for a slate of new podcasts](https://podnews.net/press-release/good-stuff-podcast). Quoting from the press release: > > > “Our shows will feature real people telling real stories, and we knew iHeart was the perfect partner to reach as many people as possible. I look forward to dreaming up more extraordinary stories together.” > > You, too, likely see the disconnect between the first sentence and the last sentence. Regardless, their efforts do seem—for now, at least—to be focused on creating new "talk" shows or docuseries. Which is fine. But why not put their efforts into "dreaming up more extraordinary stories" and making those into podcast fiction? (Spoiler: it's money) Thoughts?
