Japanese Metal
I've been trying to post some content in this community, but I kinda ran out of bands I regularly listen to, or I might even have forgotten about some cool stuff. Please let me know what you are listening to. I really don't want to bore people with my personal playlists ;)
This is a place to talk about your favourite bands, such as Band-Maid, Nemophila or Hanabie. If anyone is interesting in becoming a mod, please get in touch. I just noticed Lemmy lacks a place for us and decided to fix it.
New video by my favourite band :)

While this community is as dead as MySpace, I thought I'd drop this in here, anyway ;)
This is a small indie band, seemingly with zero exposure. Give it a listen.
Premiere in 44 hours :D
New song by Trident :)
Nice band, never heard them before :)
The new song by Ningen Isu, another banger :)
Brand new video, came out on Youtube an hour ago :)
This randomly appeared in my YT recommendations tonight, lol.
My favorite LOVEBITES song - Live!
Asterism is a pretty cool band I like a lot, but don't listen often enough to.
Loving them. But we really need someone else to post stuff about other bands, I'll just end up boring you to death with Hanabie ;)
During their EU tour.
Do they need an introduction?
TITEL - METALI!! (feat. Tom Morello) INTERPRET - BABYMETAL ALBUM - METALI!!
Power Metal with a pretty awesome vocalist. Really liking this band.
NINGEN ISU have a unique style that I haven't heard anywhere else. If you like this style I recommend you to listen to their whole discography. They have been around since the late eighties so there are a lot of songs.
Story of Hope sadly disbanded in 2017. But their songs are still awesome!
The newest song of オメデたい頭でなにより. This is probably not their heaviest one ;)
I wouldn't normally categorize Band-Maid as metal, but since they were mentioned specifically in the welcome post... 😄 I just can’t get enough of this song recently. It has the perfect synthesis of everything that makes Band-Maid great: heavy but precise drums and bass lines by Akane and Misa driving the rhythm, Kanami’s melodic guitar riffs, Saiki’s enchanting singing augmented by Miku’s harmonizing… And I didn’t even realize until I saw the subtitles on this live video that it’s actually a very romantic song about unrequited love. That even adds to its appeal to me.
I don't usually link reactions (but please feel free to do that if you like one), but these guys have a lot to say, and they're going through the full album. So I decided to post the whole thing here. Sorry guys, I can't help myself, I'm just a huge Hanabie fan, hence the many posts. ;)
This video is from the "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" concert which will be released on 2023-08-23 on DVD and Bluray. This is the first concert on Bluray with Fami on bass. I will pre-order the Bluray in the next few days. i can't wait 🙂
80s Punk meets Speed Metal?
Sounds kinda nostalgic for some reason. No idea why.
Listening for the first time
Where the heck do all these new songs come from? ^^ Without any form of warning.
Can't wait for their new album to come out. Probably not hard to guess, given my user name ;)
The guitars in this song remind me a bit of Iron Maiden. Overall a pretty cool band.
Only recently discovered this band. It's not something I'd put in my playlist, but I can see them having appeal for many people who have just never stumbled upon them.
I had heard this band name quite a bit but never checked them out. Which is nice, as I now get to listen to their whole catalogue.
Seriously underrated band that mixes a lot of styles.
