Putin:"Poland has forgotten that the Poland territories were a gift from Stalin, but that Russia will remind Poland of it"

Apparently, Poland's territories were a gift? And Apparently Poland should now be grateful for it and help Russia or something? Anybody help with Putin's logic here?
