Oops, you forgot to answer my question again.

There is no candidate. You'd need to succeed in the democratic process, something your faction's efforts have prevented.

The animal rights movement was genuinely kind of strong until you fucks went hardcore in public the last couple decades, sabotaging it.

Before that public sentiment was going our way. Now it's more or less set in stone that humanity will without pause continue abusing animals in truly gruesome ways for at least a few more generations, with a minority vegan population. You're ignorant of how you shaped the future of these animals, by making animals rights activism far less popular than it was and should've stayed you made it significantly easier to disregard animal rights activism as unimportant noise almost nobody will pay attention to.. The vegans of the 2000's and 2010's should've been compensated handsomely by factory farm corporations for all the work they did to make a mockery of animal rights.

In this case it's not even the TNT equivalent. There's just literally 100 megatons of fissile material.

    Zelenskium is just that dense.

Thoughts and prayers? No. Fines. Potentially jailtime. Potentially forcing them to sell farms and factories.

But you do not want it. You're delusional and thinking the animals will just have to endure for a little while longer while you're working on getting the entire planet to switch to a vegan diet.

Besides, you need the worst cases to stay around.

You need to film conversion content, and it'll have to be fresh and gruesome content to be effective.

I've come to understand that the healthiest people aren't vegans.

It's just that despite often lacking certain nutrients, vegan diets tend to enforce being at least kind of healthy unless you go ridiculously overboard on fruit or vegan junkfood.

But eating beef/honey/eggs being "self-harming"? Fuck you very much.

I am completely disinterested in your arguments, and will continue buying ridiculously good foods from abusive sources. Sources that I'd prefer to regulate in terms of animal rights, but every time that comes up, you people divert the conversation to "if you're not gonna be vegan you're evil either way so it doesn't matter" and everyone tunes out.

    Genuinely though, they're right I'm surprised it's not a 2025 release date.

2026 is plenty of time to finish an animation-heavy linear "CoD/Battlefield in space" campaign that is supposed to be feature complete and playable already.

Squadron 42 is nothing like Star Citizen. It's about as impressive as a 2004 Morrowind-lookalike single-player Elwynn Forest to Deadmines to Onyxia campaign with a preset character running around in a modified World of Warcraft engine, while the devs are struggling and failing to make 40 player raids and Alterac Valley possible.

I'm not particularly interested in Chris Robert's toy space opera, using SC's fantastic assets to make a silly Top Gun space parody while SC fails to realize its actually interesting goals, like large scale combined arms "star wars" warfare in a completely open space and planetside theater where boarding capital ships is possible.

I don't see them stabilizing SC ever, it seems like it'll never be playable by anyone without an incredible patience for bullshit and faff. I'm just $90 deep but I'll be very happy if I'm wrong and my Arrow gets to see their grandiose galaxy.

But SQ42? Sure. 2026 makes sense.

Yeah, it will be bad. I don't really understand how some people can be excited about it.

It will be passable, it will have a few moments, but in the end you'll be left wanting and it will set in just how disinterested the owner of the franchise is in any problem that doesn't preclude sales. It will sell well enough in preorders just because it's a Skyrim sequel.

Nor should they, it's all dark magic. These rocks don't want to compute, what we do to them to force it isn't right.

  • It is at 361,826 out of 1,000,000 signatures with the remaining trickle after the initial spike nowhere near the pace needed to hit the mark before the 31st of July 2025. ![](https://lemm.ee/pictrs/image/d93c3f08-464f-4197-ade0-95a78c4c8ae3.png) (https://www.reddit.com/r/StopKillingGames/comments/1flaevi/let_me_put_the_current_campaign_progress_into_a/) I interpret the state of Ross Scott's SKG campaign like this: It's pretty clear that democratically speaking, we do not object to companies arbitrarily removing access to purchased video games. Only a minority objects to it. While it will stay up and get more signatures, there will ultimately be no follow-through to this campaign. The reality is that it's not politically sound, it's not built on a foundation of a real public desire for change. In other words, voters don't want it. You might, but most of your family and friends don't want it.

Because the shops don't fucking sell them, and that makes me sad for some reason. They're just on like Temu and shit like that, usually with weirdly small black panels.

Too many users here prefer smaller communities and have openly stated they aren't interested in making accommodations to pursue growth to a truly large platform, even if it could be. Lemmy is the sort of site that will linger in the background and quietly die out, it'll occassionally be mentioned in the same sorts of conversation that bring up old alternatives like voat, rare conversations with few readers. I had some optimism at the growth spurt, but seeing what the opinions of users here were, that hope turned into cynicism. As I forgot about Lemmy, it's irrelevance was reinforced. It would be best, I think, if this foundation could replace its competitors. But I don't think it's going to happen. I don't think you want common idiots to like the site.

I posted a comment with a link to an article on CNN and several links to architecture and construction websites. It seems like reddit doesn't like comments with untrusted links? Are they being subtly hidden from the thread? If this is being done at any scale at all I wonder if it's a significant cause of the feeling that the internet has shrunk into a few main sites, linking to a recognizable relatively small selection of news and media sources.

I saw some clay sculpting tools and started thinking it would be sweet to cut metal with something like that. The tools I saw are apparently called pottery ribbon tools, so more of a ribbon than a wire then.

Isn't that supposed to only happen on Posts>All>New? Shouldn't Active/Hot posts require some existing engagement before appearing? Does lemm.ee sometimes sync with federated instances, which is when new content floods en masse? This is one of the experiences I've had that makes Lemmy feel far more janky than reddit.com/r/all

"help" just means "a conversation" and that really doesn't make a difference worse, it's like you're saying "If you have cancer, treatment is available." but what you're actually offering is a daily bowl of fairly healthy soup. you're running exaggerated, optimistic advertising.

I think this place is too fragmented into instances to ever generate a front page anywhere near what r/all is. If I understand this page right, https://lemm.ee will never show the top post of the day from https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/, https://discuss.tchncs.de/, or https://feddit.uk/. And the "front page/general" site is already split into several instances (https://vlemmy.net/, https://lemmy.world/, https://sh.itjust.works/, https://lemmy.fmhy.ml/ and https://lemmy.one/, all claiming to be "a general front page lemmy instance") So what's the deal, which one are we betting on as ***the place*** to direct all the new traffic? What's the contender for primary public internet bulletin board? Right now the arrow to an alternative is looking like this: https://i.imgur.com/L1XsBy6.pngd I'm personally guessing the conclusion is already reached; We have no place we're betting on. We're disinterested in pushing for any particular result. We don't expect people to migrate. Many might not even want them to.
