Agree. The lack of bots, sponsored posts and AutoMod comments are a breath of fresh air

I wrote this in another thread, so copy pasting it here:
I believe that the limitation is part of the Mastodon app, and not related to the Fediverse. There might be a character limit but I don’t think it’s as limited as Mastodon’s.
Btw, Mastodon isn’t really fit for this type of conversation. Mastodon aims to replace tweeter - microblogging interaction, where Lemmy aims to replace Reddit - thread interactions.
Each comment on Lemmy will be treated as microblog on mastodon which isn’t really practical.

I didn’t delete mine yet, but I know that I have 5.4K karma. No idea if it’s a lot, what to do with it or what it does.

"I just don’t want to like, create problems or anything" that's cute lol
Anyway, I think if you upload it to imgur it's more than enough because then you offload the heavy part to imgur and you only share a link to the image..
If you insist on uploading directly, try to compress it a bit to jpeg

I think the issue is that the scroll is also updated when the posts list is updated. They need to implement this like twitter where new posts are loaded from above and not the whole page ever X seconds.

People don’t like hearing the truth but who am I to judge. Let them live in a bubble and think that downloading a different browser changes anything. It’s just Safari with extra steps (and maybe a little bit more features).

The title sums it up. I always have to copy the message, reload and hope it was posted because the spinner never stops so I have no idea if the action was completed successfully.

I wish them a lot of good luck moderating the subreddit wihout proper tooling and API. Let's see how long they last.

Nice to see more gaming communities join the party! I used to be a HLL player but since I moved to Linux, and seeing what Team17 is doing with their title makes me think they are doing me a favor

Try to look for a very rare guide on how to fix something and you will be surprised. The dislike button was crucial to give feedback to other users. Now instead looking at the like-dislike ratio, you need to lurk around the comments or even worse - waste your time watching unhelpful/wrong/meme guide
