I recently watched all of The Bear and was blown away by how good it was. The writing, acting and directing are all on another level. It's a very intense show at times, partially because of how it depicts the chaos and stress of a restaurant kitchen and also because of its heavy subject matter (generational trauma, drug abuse, mental illness, other themes that would need CWs), but its also extremely funny when it wants to be, so much so that its categorized as a comedy at the Emmys which I only somewhat agree with. An emotional roller coaster for sure but its phenomenally well made.

Imo yes, they've added more stuff to do since then and if you play on Agony mode you will definitely get close to the kind of chaos you mentioned in VS. HoT is less of a pure dopamine rush than VS for sure and I can see why that would turn some players off to it, but imo its a more refined and interesting experience.
I've barely played Holocure but the little I did play I remember enjoying a lot, I'm probably gonna hop into that one next. My personal ranking rn would probably be: HoT, Brotato, VS, Death Must Die (this will probably go up once they add a little more content, love this game), and Nordic Ashes in 5th.

As a huge fan of Vampire Survivors and having played a LOT of the copycat games that spawned in its wake, I'm confident in saying that Halls of Torment is the best of the lot by far and even better than VS. Sick ass retro Diablo-like aesthetic that absolutely DRIPS with atmosphere and texture and personality, quest-based meta progression that's way more interesting than just "spend 1000 gold for +5% permanent damage!", 500+ challenges/achievements to complete, characters that are actually distinct and require very different playstyles, there's GEAR you can collect and equip like an ARPG, and one of the characters has a  who goes around biting the dicks off of demons. If you have any interest in the Survivors genre or roguelikes in general I'd strongly recommend at least playing the demo or dropping $5 on the full game (god I love that VS set the trend of making these games dirt ass cheap). I started playing back when it first launched in EA and was immediately hooked and its only gotten way better since.
We love  infighting don't we folks? Also apparently the LP of Lousiana isn't complete dogshit and are known as the "woke" chapter of the party lmao

Also a clip of Stenberg from like 6 years ago made the rounds where she says the goal of a completely different project she was working on was to make white men cry and chuds who get all their news from youtubers thought she was talking about the Acolyte. Fast forward to the show's release, the chuds continue to whine about woke Star Wars despite the show's first several episodes being pretty bland and mid in every regard. To disguise their actual reasons for hating the show (diverse cast and queer showrunner) they pull out the absolute most ridiculous reasons to bash it, including but not limited to: - "The writing is awful and the story sucks!" (the dialogue is genuinely quite bad at times but no worse than 95% of star wars projects. The general story is a mystery-thriller that's compelling enough. Also these same people turn around and say the prequels are incredible so ) - "The show contracts and ruins the prequels!" alright time to put on my nerd cap because the media literacy of these fucking shitbags is nonexistent. "Dark side user" =/= Sith, Red-lightsaber-user =/= Sith, there are tons of darkside users in the galaxy but the Sith area very specific order that the jedi warred with for thousands of years before they were almost completely wiped out. Also half the point of the prequels was to show the Jedi are blinded by their hubris and waning connection to the force, the Sith were right under their nose the entire time and they were just too arrogant to see it, silly Darth Teeth man doesn't ruin shit in your dog ass shit fuck childrens movies. - "The show RETCONS CANON in an **UNACCEPTABLE WAY**" this is because a prequel side character's DOB was retconned and he's a lot older now and appears in the show.
