"I swear, i had to do a Livestream on tiktok to show off my clothes, show off my style, and increase my charisma while listening to "skibidi" when my stunning girlfriend came by and we were ...! Im not lying!" (actually that "gyatt" doesn't really make sense in this context so i don't know how to translate, mybe they were getting down? Idk.)

i use nordzy-hyprcursor via the hyprcursor application
So. I have a soundboard application (Soundux) running in Hyprland. I got shortcuts to work by force running it in XWayland however these only work when the application is focused. Is there ANY way that the shortcuts work when i focus another window? Edit: spelling

Oh i assumed it was like most modern systems that a short press sends a shutdown command and a long press just cuts power
SaltyIceteaMaker 6d ago • 100%
Well if it's a software issue you can just hold it down to force cut power.

No it definitely is, the questions and comments here get respectful and goodwilled replies (most of the time that is) while on reddit i would get 3 comments degrading me for my choices 1 that says im stupid and should do my research 2 trolls 1 actual answer to my question and ankther person telling me that they're better cause they know the answer. The "redditor cliché" is not so much a cliché as it is an actual representation. At least in my experience.
In short this place is not nearly as toxic as reddit is

Yet this place is very different from reddit no?
So, I discovered weird behavior when trying to play games on an NTFS file system in Linux. When i auto mount the drive through a fstab entry, it is only able to launch Linux native games (I think I read somewhere that this is a permission issue). However, if I mount it through steams "select a drive" option, it works without a problem (so far at least). I assume this is again a permission issue, as when I mount the drive through steam, I get a Polkit password prompt. Anyone got a clue what's going on, and/or maybe a way to make the auto mount work, so I don't have to manually mount it after every boot? Distro: Arch Kernel (according to neofetch): 6.11.1-zen1-1-zen NTFS driver: ntfs-3g Proton version: GE-Proton9-10 tested games: - Terraria (Tmodloader) - Project Wingman - Hades II fstab entry: `#/dev/nvme1n1p1` `UUID=E01A2CEC1A2CC180 /mnt/games ntfs nofail 0 3` full system update a few hours ago date for future visitors (dd.mm.yyyy): 01.10.2024 at 14:44 (02:44 pm) edit: formatting and adding proton version

Like the title says i need an os for a x86 tablet. I already tested various different linux distros, (mint, ubuntu, debian etc.) with various de's (gnome, xfce, plasma, plasma mobile) but nothing really suits a tablet. I tried android x86 but that wouldn't install. Basically my problem is that apps etc. Are made with mouse and keyboard in mind making me unable to for example easily scroll as i have to drag the scroll bar manually. Anyone got ANY recommendation? The default os was mint btw.
Edit: solved i just used a paid app that gives you 3 free downloads Hey, so I have some downloads on Amazon Prime that I want to remove the DRM from, however I only find deleted posts on Reddit or some sketchy programs/sites I really don't trust. Does any of you guys know how to remove the DRM? I'm willing to do a lot of work if I have to as long as it's free. Also, if it is an application that does it, I'd prefer FOSS even if it's inferior. Maybe I can reward the first person with a solution with some movie of choice😉
Specifically i want that the baterry icon in my status bar doesn't change color when the baterry saver is on. I have a rooted phone with magisk and lsposed if that helps. (My reason for that is that the color doesn't fit with my theming but i need the battery saver to keep my phone from dying throughout the day)
Doese anybody have any app recommendations for a rooted phone with lineageOS? Things like: A proper file explorer A terminal if possible And apps in general that you can't use without root (i.e. power saver tuner(although it's possible without root))
Pretty much all graphical apps that dont have thier own theming option (like firefox) are always just the white background default theme. No matter wether it's qt or gtk. Wich files would i need to edit to change that? Searching on the internet only told me that i should change an environment variable bit doing so changed nothing even though i have the themes installed
[dotfiles](https://github.com/saltyiceteamaker/unixporn) dont mind that cava is white... i forgot to change that WM: i3 Bar: Polybar Compositor: Picom Terminal: Konsole Applauncher: Krunner Editor: Neovim with Nvchad with a custom(albeit messy) theme
