Great review! Pretty interesting light with the 2 Osram flood emitters. The runtimes look pretty good for this light. Can this actually do a sustained 800lm for 6 hours per the manufacturer spec?

Nice collection! Is the purple light on the wall from a UV? Is it a D2?
Spicy3d 1y ago • 100%
I love that you have the D4SV2 in shorty mode! 18350 makes it so cute!

That would be way brighter honestly! D18 and Q8+ are so much more powerful than any of the ceiling lights in my house. My neighbors would probably have questions 😀

Crabs on crabs! Did you make this 3D model?
Mrs. Spicy wanted to have a campfire while we were camping this weekend, so I enlisted the help of several diffusers to light our site while I prepped our wood. Diffusers shown are the SP36 (coming soon), D18, Q8+, and IF22a (also coming soon).

Hey awesome! I'm happy that to see you figured out how to use the crab 😀

Simple UI, flat regulation, 519a? What else could I possibly want??
Spicy3d 1y ago • 100%
I read through the update on their website, and it is not clear to me why they are doing this rebranding to ESKTE.
Does anyone have some better understanding or insight?

Great review! I got an IF22A recently, but now you're making me want to get this little guy too!

You are so much more organized than I will ever be! I also have no intention of ever using the pocket clips on my lights so it's no big deal.
I leave all my O-rings in the sun to bake. My rubber is not to be trusted!
Spicy3d 1y ago • 100%
Seconded! What is that, a custom cerakote or something?
Spicy3d 1y ago • 100%
I'm gonna need you to list all of the lights that these clips go with /s
I have a poorly organized bin that all of my light accessories live in. It is a rats nest of clips, o rings, lanyards, and extra tubes. Pure chaos.

This would be sweet! The practical execution would probably be quite difficult, but I would love to be able to swap from 2700K to 4500K on the fly! Thermal sinking could be a challenge, unless maybe each emitter is mounted on its own MCPCB, and the MCPCB is the thing that gets swapped in and out. Thermal issues would still arise, but one can dream!

This is such an excellent idea! USB-C programming would be so cool!I would want to be an easy visual interface for programming for sure. Even something simple like boxes where you specify number of clicks/holds and the actions that they perform.
Didn't 4sevens make some Bluetooth controlled lights (or maybe prototypes) back in the day? Bluetooth control doesn't seem super ideal for my purposes, but programming over Bluetooth would be awesome.

I believe the DT8 and DT8K share the same head/bezel size, so yes it should work!

Rectangular hat is good hat
I shoved it up into the frame so I could see the filter. The diffuser actually works better when it's upside down in this case! ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/8cac8902-9fa7-4ac9-a766-79cd50659854.jpeg)

Bringing these 3 lights (Sofirn SC21, Fireflylite P01, and Convoy S21E) out on a lake trip for Fourth of July weekend. I'm hoping to do some night time lake beamshots while kayaking around!

[Download the 3D model from Printables!](https://www.printables.com/model/507973-emisar-dt8-and-dt8k-diffuser) and print it yourself! Post a pic if you do! Or you can get one from [my website!](https://spicy3dprints.com/products/emisar-dt8-and-dt8k-diffuser) DT8 has a weird head shape, so it was challenging to make an end-attachment for the light. I chose to use white filament instead of clear because there were weird refraction effects due to the shape of the diffuser and the printed layers. I am quite happy with the white filament, so I may propagate that color into the rest of my diffusers!
Mrs. Spicy managed to bust this H600 while is was attached to her helmet! I have no idea how!
