Among the current models the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Asus Zenphone 10 seem to be the best options when size matters.

Both are similar in volume, but the ZP10 is less wide while the S23 is quite a bit slimmer.

    Advantages ZP10:

    • Larger Battery
    • No Samsung Bloatware
    • Slightly more pocketable

    Advantages S23:

    • bigger Display
    • better Cameras

I went for the S23 because I think you get more phone for the size.

The metrics I quoted may not be precise, but they are still representative. How many more subs does android have on your instance compared to askandroid?

That aside: Just look at the post & engagement numbers!

My argument is that, at the moment, the community is too small for so many specific sub-communitites. And this approach sends users into oblivion.

Most of the deleted questions aren't even reposted in the other sub, and if they are get way less responses.

    Totally agree.

Day after day the mods delete questions and force users over to askandroid, a community with only ~250 subs and 8 active users a day.

The main community had about 10 new posts within the last 24hrs. A few questions would not hurt at all (5 within the last 24hrs)

Yeah, it sucks. Recently moved from a 5 to a 7a and it's just terrible.

Maybe it will improve over time but chances are I'll switch to another phone vefore that happens...

Maybe I'm celebrating too soon but I feel that, finally, smaller phones are having a comeback.

It clould also be that it took ~3 yrs for the folding tech to enable smaller phones but after checking out many razr+(40ultra) reviews, and now the HM V2, reviewers are once again getting excited about smaller dimensions and lighter weight.

If you like statistics give graphana a look. It's a very powerful graphing toolkit, given enough time you can create really beautiful views of your data.

If you need aditional data: Many smart plugs can measure power consumption...

Before buying more sensors/actuators: Think about the communication pritocols you want to use:

    WiFi

    • No additional HW required
    • Simple setup
    • No battery powered devices or high battery consumption

    Bluetooth

    • Probably no add. HW req.
    • Battery powered devices
    • limited range

    Zigbee

    • good range
    • lots of devices
    • low power/battery powered
    • needs add. HW (usb stick)
    • may be a little more complex to set up

(This is just a veeery short summary)

Seems like my scenario is less challanging...

Have you set the sensibility to high and run the 'empty room' calibration in the app? (Don't know the exact enlish name for the option...).

I started out with docker because it looked like a clean and portable solution.

After adding container after container to get the features/add-ons i wanted, various hassles with USB components and networking troubles I ended up with a solution that was a PITA to keep updated.

Then I switched to a RPi and it was smooth sailing (especially integrated updates and backup).

Next step is to move it to proymox running on an Odroid H3...

  • And it works great! I started off with 1.1.7 which was terrible (false posivitives/muptiple 'ghosts'), now with 1.1.9 it seems to be fixed. Now I'm pretty happy with the sensor. Especially creating different detection zones is a phantastic feature. It can even peek a bit in the adjacent rooms to support other motion sensors.

It's totally crazy how tesla uses the ADC on a safety critical component!

The question if the ADC's reference voltage is stable (enough) is a pretty basic one in any design.

I hope this goes public enough that tesla is forced to change/recall the affected components (at least in europe).

Highest trim would include a massive battery, which would limit production numbers.

But since production will be slow this year anyway you might be right.

And it's the only way to reach the ranges & towing capacities the fanbase expects...

I totally get your point. That's why I suspect some ominous cheap model..

He definitely has to do some trickery to at the same time cash in on the CT hype and give the Simps an argument why it's still cheaper than all the other ev trucks.

So, start guessing: How much will it be? My guess: - Initial release will be a midrange model at around 80k - there will also be a top model at about 100k, available later - and of course E will promise a "working man's" edition sometime in the future. It will be said to be around 40k and will be postponed over&over again.

Since there are no fragments of the carbon hull stuck to the tutanium parts it seems the bond wasn't that strong.
