This is a genuine question from someone wanting to be more educated, why is it being downvoted?

People complain about Starmer, but he’s a human rights lawyer, rather than a disaster capitalist, so surely that’s a step in the right direction

Country boy here - cows are pretty harmless most of the time if you leave them alone, they might wander over to have a look, but they’re usually pretty docile. If you don’t want them near you, clapping your hands or making yourself big with your arms and shouting usually makes them go away. I will say that you should absolutely not approach them if there are calves nearby and bulls in general are typically more aggressive, but if you keep a safe distance you should be fine

I’m a massive Doctor Who fan and discourse surrounding it has been ‘difficult’ for the last few years. As the quality of the show has varied, some fans have denounced more recent series, and others have become angry that they don’t enjoy the same things as they do. At the end of the day we’re all fans of Doctor Who, we just can’t agree what Doctor Who is, but I think we should accept that and all let each other enjoy the Doctor Who we want to.

Sounds exactly like what happened to me when I had bad anxiety. Definitely worth talking to a therapist about
Empire, yay or nay? Personally I am pro-empire as I think a strong empire is the best chance of defeating the Thalmor, but that is not to say the Empire is without its problems, especially in its post-Septim era
I'm curious to see what everyone's favourite album is. Personally, I love Edge of Thorns - it was the album that got me into Savatage so it will always hold a special place in my heart, but I don't think it quite reaches the hights of Streets. Streets is a masterpiece
You guys like vinyl? [Metal Vinyl](/c/metalvinyl@lemmy.world)
I personally love Remembrance (of course), Ghost Light and I've got a particular fondness for the Curse of Fenric
The band always said they regretted not doing a live album for the original SIT tour, plus it's been over 3 years since the last live album, and we've had a new studio album since then, so I'd actually be surprised if we didn't get a live album
Assuming this is what happens, as opposed to the Dark Brotherhood being destroyed
I actually prefer it to the original
I'm absolutely gutted I can't see this, this is an incredible line-up
Pick of Destiny is a great movie, it's ridiculous and stupid and that's part of why I love it. But how did a Jack Black movie fail? especially only 3 years after school of rock
I stumbled across edge of thorns one day and I listened to the whole album and was instantly hooked, so I went back and listened to their whole discography. I’ve always been a fan of bands like Sabbath and Maiden, so Savatage immediately appealed to me
Apparently they're meant to be coming out this year, although I haven't seen anything since January. While he'll never be as iconic as Ozzy or Dio, the stuff he did with Sabbath deserves more recognition; Headless Cross is one of my favourite albums and it's a crime its not on streaming
This is one (of many) of my favourite scenes from Blackadder II
I would watch a whole spinoff about the whacky adventures of Ace Rimmer (what a guy)
I'm always stuck between Blood of the Saints and Sacrament of Sin
Mine's a bit niche, but I really love Andrew Hulshult's remake of the original soundtrack
