But dont posts from all communities in an instance show if you're browsing on local.
That could be hella jarring for someone who doesn't want to see gore. Imo there really should be a feature that differentiates nsfl and nsfw in lemmy.

It really would be. This seems like such a glaring issue for a decentralised/federalised system like lemmy.

Yes I didn't even know the fediverse was a thing

That would be awesome!

True fragmentation seems like it would be a huge issue.
Also allowing easy exporting/migrating between instances should be possible.
From my understanding (having literally discovered lemmy and the fediverse like an hour ago) mastodon supports things like grouping and account migration, so I assume it should be possible with lemmy?
Also I'll be honest I have no idea what mastodon is.
Exactly as the title says, do you guys think Reddit will buckle and at least be more reasonable or maybe even reverse their current decisions? Edit: if not lemmy to the moon 🚀

Just a heads up it seems like I can't upload images, specifically in my bio and as an avatar. Is that a server specific bug?

I mean I didn't even know what the fuck lemmy was nevermind that the fediverse is a thing

Whaaat there are alternatives?

Also wondering this how this would work
Edit: It seems that migration between instances isn't yet implemented in lemmy at least.
