Yeah these took me a long time to figure out too. There was a really really old Jared Dines video that helped me figure it out. My go-to practice song for pinch harmonics is Welcome Home

That's awesome! I've never heard of these! Arachnids that are not spiders, but not scorpions either. Fascinating

Yeah still use mine! Best way to stream from my PC upstairs to my TV downstairs!

Thanks for calling those points out! You are 100% correct. I think I take it for granted that at this point, all of this "just works" on my setup :)

The audio should not be affected, as far as I'm aware. I get all my stuff from Usenet

Also check out Tdarr! I convert everything to HEVC using that. Shrinks down some files to literally 50% of their original size

That actually looks pretty cool. +1 for sticking with Debian too. I will give it a shot!

That is an absolutely great idea!

Well I should clarify. I had retroPi on it for a number of years, but hardly used it. I finally repurposed it over the last year for Pi-Hole and Pi.Alert, so yeah I think this last year completely destroyed my SD card

Is dietPi the same as PiOS lite? I use PiOS lite with no GUI etc

My Raspberry Pi SD card finally died after almost 10 years, and I was hosting Pi-Hole on it. After a year of Pi-Hole I didn't realize how many things had freaken ads. They pop up everywhere! I really need to get a new SD card :(

Seems like the intro clears some things: https://gamevau.lt/docs/intro It looks like you install the server component on your NAS/server etc and store your game files/binaries/installers there. Then you can download client applications and download from that location to install on your gaming PC or whatever

People on LinkedIn always post some BS motivational crap like "look at this tree, it never gave up! Take inspiration from it!". Very annoying

I know a lot of workplaces/bosses don't like it, but I'm of the opinion that your time off is your time off. It doesn't matter if you're in town or out of town, have the ability to get to work or not, if you have scheduled time off, you shouldn't have to make any excuses as to why you're not at work.

So I was thinking this at first, but then looking at it more, I think it's intentionally not clear. Kind of like a grass is greener situation. The title is also mirror "universe", so it implies that both sides of the reflection exist and are real in their own universes. The implication is that you're never going to be satisfied when you have what you think you want
This meant so much to South Africa at the time. Since then, rugby has been the great uniter for the country
Hi self-hosters. I am looking into personal habit trackers that I can self-host. So far, I have looked at the following: - Nomie (abandoned, but seems to have been picked up by the community) - Traggo - personal-management-system (seems a bit heavy) - wger (specifically for fitness) Do you guys have any other suggestions? I'm specifically looking for habit/task/time tracking apps with a nice at-a-glance type dashboard
Mapimpi out with a fractured eye socket :( I love Am, probably my favorite Bok player of the modern era, but is he the right fit for this squad, especially coming back from injury?
Hello selfhosters. I have a Linux VM spun up on my server that I access via Remmina. Would it be ok for me to expose Remmina for external access? It would be behind a reverse proxy as well as Authelia 2FA of course. Is that secure "enough", just for a VM?
Hello, I really need some help accessing my app via cloudfared tunnel. The app is installed on an AWS EC2 Debian machine. I can successfully hit the page using http://[EC2IP]:[port] configured via inbound security rules. I can also successfully setup the cloudflare tunnel and access it via that tunnel and my personal domain and CNAME, but ONLY if I expose all TCP ports for 0.0.0.0/0. Otherwise Cloudflare cannot access the application. I have tried adding the public cloudflare ipv4 ranges (https://www.cloudflare.com/ips/) to the inbound rules, but that does not work either. Can anyone help with this? EDIT: got it to work! Thank you so much @lilshalom[@Lemmylefty@lemmy.world](https://lemmy.world/u/Lemmylefty) and [@voidx@futurology.today](https://futurology.today/u/voidx) !!
Hello self-hosters! Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a self-hosted Microsoft Visio alternative, or something at least very similar. I'm basically looking to create infrastructure diagrams for my self hosted server and apps. I already have WikiJS as a wik/documentation solution, but don't mind migrating to something else if there are better solutions and/or integrations for diagrams
It's definitely not as impressive as the other posts on here (this entire room is worth less than a lot of people's single instruments), but I love all of em and play almost every day
Apparently BTBAM is not allowed on the new progressive metal sub on Reddit for some reason. But this will always be my favorite song from one of my favorite albums of all time
What is everyone else hosting? What am I missing?
It finally happened... Goodnight sweet prince
