It's full. I think I'll just go with this setup until I eventually replace it with an ssd. Was cheap and I needed a bunch of capacity for and easy access to audio and video files that I'll keep backed up elsewhere anyway. Might put in a pad like another commenter suggested, or just keep the top screw of the panel undone. Was mainly worried I was being a huge dumbass but seems like things will work out well enough

The slightest bit of tension, but not enough to permanently bend it. It bulges out maybe a couple of millimeters when closed and screwed on. Just didn't know if the drive would suffer because I have no idea how well they tolerate pressure. But good to hear, thanks, that puts my mind at ease!
Hey, quick question that I'm too dumb to know the answer to and can't seem to find any info about anywhere. I just got a 2.5" HDD and put it in the dedicated place in my Fractal Meshify C case. It's on the side, and there really isn't enough space for it - the drive is too thick for the panel to come back on normally. When I put the panel back on the case it pushes right up against the drive and the panel clearly isn't flush with the case. Is this an issue? Or will the drive be fine?

I dunno, the Fiona and Cake episodes just never resonated with me. I watched them the first time around but after that they were insta-skips. But like I said, I'm happy for the people who are excited because the world is one of the best ever and more adventures there are a good thing. I'll give it a go for sure and hope to be pleasantly surprised

I don't know if it's happening to other people, but for me connect is defaulting to Top All sort whenever I open the app to my front page or when I view a community. I always change to top 6 hour, but it never stays that way after navigation. Anyone else experiencing this?

There's been a bit of a global jpeg shortage lately since most jpegs are grown in the Mokri Yaly River Valley in Ukraine. I don't see how we could realistically expect full jpeg until 2025 at the earliest if I'm being honest

Firstly, sorry if I'm making any mistakes in how I'm posting this. I love the app but there are two main issues that bug me and they both pertain to external links. Let's say I followed a link to a Wikipedia article, and within that article clicked a link to a second article. If I then press the back button (on the android bottom bar), it takes me all the way back to the Lemmy comments, not to the previous article. It would be much better if it just took me to the previous page I was on. Also, now that I have been returned to the comments, they are completely reset. It would be much nicer if my location in the comments were preserved, as well as all collapses, so I could seamlessly continue from where I left off.
Just to add a bit of content, why don't we have a general rant about how awful everything is and how little faith we have in the coming season! Or if you're wanting to get real weird with it then tell us why you're optimistic. Personally, I think I have faith in the worm eater. But I also thought Fat Frank would maybe possibly come sort of good and at least be a positive influence on the mentality so what the fuck do I know. Also, McNeil for president. He's like an Aiden McGeady who somehow actually manages to get things done sometimes.
