Where'd everybody go?

It’s truly sad to see people build their own little cages (echo chambers) based on stupid economic systems instead of exchanging ideas peacefully. Which is not a dog whistle, like a certain billionaire with a weird fetish for fake free speech, but an actual request to stop censoring people based on non-hateful beliefs and talk with the other part instead of performing a psycho delenda est and feeling so cool and strong and getting off that dopamine hit. Fuck.

In short, no it makes no sense to ban people based on their non-hateful beliefs. It’s dystopian, it means people stopped listening to others and just pat their backs all the time. Fuck.

You can own “beach” and mountain houses for vacation, it doesn’t necessarily mean you are disgustingly rich. The problem with people owning multiple houses is that they reduce the possibility for other people to buy or own a house, and most of the time they are rented and the landlords don’t have a few houses to rent but tens

Actually owning two or three homes is okay-ish. The problem is when you own tens and rent them all

The users down here trying to teach you what it means while you know it better than them lmao.

“Vote with your wallet” doesn’t mean “if you don’t like it don’t buy it” but if that you don’t like the new iteration of the product reason you shouldn’t buy it, thus letting the company know it wasn’t good enough and they should do better. This premise is flawed because it sounds like some democratic shit, but the only ones who can vote with their wallet are the whales that actually have % on that sweet company revenue: for the average user there is no vote because to matter it would have to scale with other consumers. Something so far unachievable because for a tiny, “loud” minority there is the clueless majority.

Same happens in Italy. It’s probable the govt will collapse before 2027 and they won’t campaign as much for the new elections, so the new govt will be blamed for all the problems these fuckers caused

I wasn’t referring to that kind of posts, since they “plague” Reddit too, but the posts from Reddit that gets crossposted on Lemmy. It’s like there is little to no original content here. Maybe mastodon is a bit better, though I feel like it’s slowly dying ngl

I tried to rewrite my CV on multiple occasions but nothing works; so I’m thinking to hire someone else to write it for me. I don’t know how much it would cost nor where to find such a person

I have a XSX and I was thinking to grab a PS5 slim, but I’m not really sure as it doesn’t look to have that many exclusives games (that I’m interested in at least). The exclusives I’m interested in are FFXVI, Horizon, the last of us and god of war; no Spider-Man or super hero games. I also like that I can buy lots of VNs (like steins gate)

We are in a very funny situation where I just spent two weeks fixing FE bugs and there are so many left. I asked to add integration tests but the answer was “no”, cause we can’t test the UI and all of that. So the proposed solution was to be more careful, except I’m careful but testing whole website parts or the whole website is not feasible. What can I do?

Hi everyone! I have a problem: I can code no stop for hours. Someday, I go for basically 6-7 hours a day without taking a break. I notice I exaggerated only when I’m basically drained after work, to the point I can’t do *anything*. How many breaks do you take? 10/20 minutes per hour? Do you take longer?
