do you do them before or after breakfast?
I'd like to start doing regular stretches, either daily or 3-4 times a week, whatever is best. Do you have any beginner programs and tips to share? I'd also like to incorporate a ~5 minute plank workout I found online. I think stretches should always been last, so I should start with the planks, right? Does doing 5 minutes of planks warrant a warm up before starting?

Most countries do not require you to serve a month every year like the IOF does.
They're still reservists in those others countries though, right? Fundamentally it seems like the same thing to me. And your quote says "at most"; I doubt every military aged person is serving a month every year

Reservist is the status you get when you go to your annual (or whatever) checkups and are listed as can be called for active duty. You're basically active duty but you're not needed at the moment.
Isn't this what happens when you complete your compulsory military training? You can then be called for service at any time. I still don't see the difference

It's fair to consider reservists as civilians imo. There's plenty of countries with mandatory conscription and it would be absurd to consider anyone that has completed it as military instead of civilian

The guy that sold out libre software (FOSS) to the corporations is a racist ghoul? Color me shocked

Because some of it is funny, to be honest. CIA officers glowing, or your PC starting to glow when exposed to their propaganda is a funny meme. And besides that, there's a lot of memes used here that either originated or proliferated in 4chan, like wojaks and the guy from the "chad" photoshoot

If they really care, they can add the next season's pass as a reward for the current one, at the same level of progression where you'd have enough coins to afford it. I suppose they won't in order to rile up people against consumer protecting measures like this. Overall I think it's a net positive change

Why not, if we're using the clean version?

Yeah, but this is a lot better, because now will pay 30$ and you'll get the skin. Right now you're almost always forced to pay more. For example:
Sexy rabbit skin: 1000 coins
100 coins: 6$
700 coins: 20$
1200 coins: 35$
So even if you want to spend 30$ for a skin, the way the shop is designed makes you spend 35$. And then you have 200 coins left over, tempting you to spend them. But nothing will be priced at 200 coins. Perhaps the shop offers catgirl headphones for 600 coins but then the whole ordeal starts anew because you'd need to buy more coins than you need and the left over ones tempt you.
If you pay close attention, every coin shop is designed like this

Who are the israeli proxies? Jordan?

This only refers to the Leviticus verse, not the NT one that I provided. Also, going by the latin text seems like a methodological mistake to me, since the original old testament was in Hebrew and the first translation in Greek.

Dunno about that. In the new testament, at least, it is said that (male) homosexuals will not inherit god's kingdom.

Do you have any source that says that specific part was altered?

Which part are you referring to? There's text banning it in both testaments.

Did they retaliate after Iran's attack some months ago? I think not, but my memory is foggy

then Israel is getting levelled
By who? The Iranian remnants? Genuine question. Afaik Egypt and SA are friendly to israel, I can see them backing down in the name of de-escalation.
Also, what if instead of a nuke it's a missile barrage?
sevenapples 3w ago • 100%
The attack is obviously deserved but I'm scared about what happens next.
If israel strikes back, the Iran will also do so. Maybe this is the best course of action, if it leads to israel losing, but if it doesn't, or it leads to ww3...
On the other hand, if israel does nothing, then maybe Iran will consider this a job well done and back down while the idf stays in Lebanon.

I'd like something that goes over the American interference in the region, debunks myths about the Shah's government (for example, I've seen people here mention that only the wealthy dressed like westerners) and explains how the Iranian revolution happened. Is Targeting Iran any good? I know Chomsky has some shit takes but he usually does a good job dismantling US narrative & propaganda
If someone doesn't know what I'm referring to, 996 refers to working 9am-9pm 6 days a week, which some Chinese companies enforce (or enforced) on their employee. Jack Ma, for example, has spoken in support of it. Wikipedia says that the Supreme People's Court deemed it illegal in 2021. I don't know about China's court system in detail (or any country's, really) but my understanding is that cases go to a higher court if someone successfully appeals the decision of a lower court. Shouldn't something like a 72 hour workweek be stricken down before reaching the supreme court? I've heard that Huawei still enforces this, for example. I don't have sources because I've heard it from someone with Chinese acquaintances, so some fact-checking is appreciated.

Do you play any games on your smartphone? I'm looking for single player ones to kill some time when waiting for the bus. Ideally they should work without an internet connection, so I can disable network access for that app and play without ads. I'm currently playing Words of Wonder, but it gets repetitive after a while.
In The State and Revolution, Lenin (and Engels, whom he is quoting) disagrees with communists using "People's State" or "Free People's State" as a programme goal. If I understand correctly, this is because a) it creates a misunderstanding on the final phase of communism, which is stateless and b) it goes against the Marxist understanding of states as forces of oppression. On the other hand, it seems logical to me that a state following the dictatorship of the proletariat principle would call itself "People's", since the proletariat is the majority. So, I've been wondering if the existing socialist states have an official line about this, or if there's a consensus amongst M-Ls.
