Love Keepass. Love that I can sync it however I want. Love that there are multiple open source client options across several operating systems.

Do they not have lactose-free cream where you live?

People conflate lactose intolerance with a dairy allergy, but lactose is a sugar that is easily removed during processing of milk/cream, and there's a lot of milk products nowadays that have lactose removed (milk, cream, half&half) or never had lactose to begin with (most hard cheeses).

  • Metaphor: ReFantazio director avoids fan feedback to protect his mental health
  • sigmaklimgrindset sigmaklimgrindset 3d ago 100%

I'm so confused, this game has 94% on metacritic and a "very positive" reception on Steam (91% with 4 000+ reviews). This headline is clickbait as hell, and the comments here are assuming Metaphor: Refantazio got mixed reviews/flamed on socials when it didn't.

The article is just reporting a discussion Katsura Hashino had with Toyama (the creator of Silent Hill) on their views on fan feedback.

This is why I don't care to read Eurogamer articles (and also their cookie preferences with 600+ partners, wtf).

(Also, both Refantazio and the Silent Hill 2 remake are pretty good. Can't believe I have to praise Konami in 2024 🤮)

Meanwhile I've been getting assblasted with ads for it on every whitelisted app/site. I knew this game existed since it was announced in 2016, I am an avid SMT/Persona player. Why tf am I getting the ads?

Marketing team fucked something up in the targeting.

Most Outspoken Gamers^tm^ nowadays don't even play the games they're being outspoken about. Look at all the clowns calling Ghost of Yotei "woke" for having a female protagonist when Tsushima already had multiple female warriors.

This is apparently in the Joslyn's collection in Omaha, Nebraska. I'm not sure if it's being displayed right now, but they actually seem to have a pretty diverse collection ranging a large time period.

I had no idea Omaha had such a nice fine arts museum, might have to take a trip down there.

  • I [posted on asklemmy](https://sopuli.xyz/post/17515726) the other day asking for advice on how to catch a stray cat, and I am now posting the fruits of my labour. Huge thanks to everyone in that post for taking the time to give me step-by-step instructions, telling me their own experiences with strays, and just being concerned about both mine and the stray's wellbeing! Here he is at the vet for a check up after I caught him. Honestly, he seemed so happy to be indoors and somewhere warm and safe that I teared up a bit! He is currently in my garage sleeping on a heated cat bed and couldn't be more content as I try to figure out next steps.

There's a cat that has been loose on my street since May apparently, but only came into my yard Thursday night. I tried to catch it, but it bit me and ran away. Someone has also shaved it for some reason, and I want to catch since it's getting colder in the evenings. I saw the cat last night too was and was friendly to me, but it had a bit of a cough, so I'm worried. Didn't see it tonight, and it's really cold and windy. A couple of my neighbours have been feeding it, but no real effort in trying to trap it or check to see if it's microchipped. I want to take it to the vet and see if it has an owner/check for diseases. Apparently the cat likes dry food over wet, so I don't think leaving cans of wet food will work. Any advice given from experienced pet owners/ trappers would be helpful.

"...For Nvidia, after this latest run-up took it north of the $3T milestone, **the company is being valued at more than $100M for each of its 29,600 employees (per its filing that counted up to the end of Jan 2024).** That’s more than 5x any of its big tech peers, and hundreds of times higher than more labor-intensive companies like Walmart and Amazon. It is worth noting that Nvidia has very likely done some hiring since the end of January — I think the company *might* be in growth mode — but even if the HR department has been working *non-stop*, Nvidia will still be a major outlier on this simple measure. We are running out of ways to describe Nvidia’s recent run... but a nine-figure valuation **per employee** is a new one."

I know this is more business than tech related, but for some reason I am not able to post it to the business community, so I'm posting it here. The Verge published this spam article about the "best printers of 2024" to demonstrate how terrible Google's search results are. It now appears as the top non-sponsored post if you search "best printer" on Google. I love a good, informative troll.
