For those wondering: I find myself in this situation because transphobic posts harassing me were allowed to remain on that site while Purism moderators removed, hid, or censored some of my responses. My posts were calm, civil, and respectful, while many of the posts directed at me were none of those things. Purism's moderators decided that it is acceptable for users to repeatedly post transphobic insults directed at a trans user, while it is strictly unacceptable for any user to say the word "fuck" in any context, including in a hidden thread that exists for discussions centered around the "politics" of pronouns. @Liberapay@mastodon.xyz When using #Liberapay to receive donations, I'm curious what data is shared with #Stripe. * Does Stripe see the username and/or email address of the Liberapay account receiving donations? I am hoping that Stripe cannot see this information and instead sees the ID number of the account or some other private identifier. I would like to protect my online identity from my bank and other entities that know my real-life legal identity. ___ I have not created a Stripe account yet, and I am curious about the process and data requirements. * What data is required to create a Stripe account for an individual for the purpose of receiving donations? * When creating a Stripe account, does Stripe require a photo ID for identity verification? ___ #Privacy is important to me because I'm trans and live in the USA.
