I didn't see Unciv recommended yet, it's a decent mobile open source version of Civilization.
Pocket City 2 also gets a shout-out, it's not very deep but a nice casual city builder with a one time purchase.

I didn't need to know mobile balatro was a thing, oh no. Not good.. not good.

In fiscal year 2024, the U.S. government spent nearly $900 billion on interest on the debt alone.
"That's more than we spent on national defense, Medicare, and children at the federal level – just a truly astounding figure," MacGuineas said. "The national debt is on track to reach a record share of the economy in just two years, a sobering milestone for both the next Congress and whoever wins the presidency in November."

I don't understand how this can be an interpretation when trump and vance made clear they are indifferent if the immigrants are legal and working. They've pushed the point the springfield immigrant community shouldn't be here, shouldn't be supported, even if they came legally - it's the wrong kind of legal. There's nothing directing which 'legals' are good in their policy.

How? Blood, sweat and tears mostly.
Usually it's not recommended to start with your "dream game". Pick an engine (I like Godot), grab some Kenney art assets, and get to work on a pong or snake clone. This can be using written tutorials, videos, or hard mode, read the docs and piece it together.
Trying to learn a language, learn an engine, learn the art pipeline, learn game dev concepts AND dream up a new game concept with custom assets simultaneously is trying to boil the ocean. Start small: add a start menu, add a scene. Make jpg appear and move using player input, add an obstacle, add a death scene/restart. Iterate from there.

Damn they made four of those turds? Series could have ended at #2, was the real high point.

Without explicit license? Without contacting the administrator for permission? This is what I mean by conditions. There's no need to be pedantic, if the software isn't available for commercial use how can it be open source? I cannot modify this and redistribute or package it without getting in touch with a project representative.

I deleted my comment because I didn't really care to get into it with the weird custom license, but widely speaking if it's not distributable without condition, it's not open source.
EDIT- And it's okay that it's "only" source-available, it's a creator's choice how their works are used in the world. But I would argue this project license doesn't fit the spirit of this lemmy community.

Forgejo is like a self hosted GitHub. It expands beyond source control to include issue trackers, pull requests, wikis, publishing features and such.

It's hard to argue against "ain't broke why fix", and frankly, I'm surprised your install has lasted so long without going sideways heh. If you avoid the AUR that's probably helped. And I actually do believe manjaro has improved in the last year or two - it's just difficult to recommend while endeavour and archinstall exist.
CaptDust 5d ago • 100%
Manjaro as a project is amateur hour, over and over again. Their practice of holding back packages is bad, causing many version conflict problems. Their software DDOSing repos is bad, they can try to pass the blame to pamac, but they are the ones shipping it. Their repeated inability to keep certificates updated is bad.
EndeavourOS should be recommended over Manjaro every time.

Yikes, the NW-E394 is the only one here I'd consider giving to a child, and it only has 8gb of memory for $75!? Absurd.

Sansa Clip used to be my go-to for this type of use, but it doesn't look like they make them anymore either... We're officially living in a time it's easier to find a CD player than a dedicated MP3. What the hell.

Holy shit, this guy works the greek restaurant near me. Every detail is right on - the tank top, tiny stool and even the magazine while he's waiting for customers.
Is this some stereotype I wasn't aware of??

JD Vance entire policy. That's it, that's the meme.
My domestic cats seem to locate any open available cardboard box and happily plop themselves into it. This got me thinking, would outdoor cats settle into a random box they find as easily too? What about big cats? Edit- fixed title

I have a problem with my International Space Station 21321 set, all the blue clips that hold the panels to the main beams are crumbling, and weakened enough that I wake up to panels on the floor. I have no idea why this is happening, but hoping someone can help? Ideas I can do different to prevent it after I replace these parts? It seems to effect all the blue clips not just the big ones, even the little pod lost one of its solar panels :( Some details, it's probably 4 years old now. I keep it on display but not under glass, in a 72f room. I have difficulty keeping it totally dust free as it's very fragile to begin with, but it's never really been touched otherwise. Thanks for any ideas Edit: not the technic connectors, the [blue solar panel pattern tiles](https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=30350bpb105&idColor=63#T=S&C=63&O={%22color%22:63,%22iconly%22:0}) are the problem ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsh.itjust.works%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F868cba52-be98-4f06-b790-0f949e507bad.jpeg)
I undertook a sizeable upgrade today, bringing a skylake era build into the 2020s with a 13th gen. All core components- memory, motherboard, GPU, everything must go... except the drives. We were nervous, my friend really felt we should reinstall. There was debate, and drama. Considerations and exceptions. No, I couldn't let my OS go. I have spent years tweaking and tuning, molding my ideal computing environment. We pushed forward. Well I'm pleased to say it was mostly uneventful. The ethernet adapter was renamed causing misconfigured dhcp, but otherwise it booted right up like nothing happened. Sorry, linux is boring now.
